Terry, I don't know how close we are. One firm will be ready as soon as they have a return on my final credit/criminal report. That has taken longer than I expected. Since I have neither debt nor a criminal record, they must figure I'm a CIA plant. <g> But I do use credit cards and even if I pay them off every month, they should have some credit history on them. Meanwhile, I won't commit without a firm offer. Duh! So I'm still talking to other firms while I wait and you never know. They all want me to say I accept the job before they finalize pay, % payout, non-compete agreement, etc. But I don't think they really want an employee who would be that dumb. <g> I really didn't think it would take this long, but I expect any day to ink something.
