Bob, the hydrogen transition can happen in stages with a small percentage of stations providing it like deisel. It makes more sense to have the reformers at the stations than in each car. Hydride storage of hydrogen is very safe. The storage tank can't explode. If it ruptures, nothing happens. Heat must be applied to make it come out.

There is room for GLE, but I still see hydrogen as the long term solution.
