Why do you always make such an issue of the feds vs the state? Our gov't stems from the concept of federalism, not separate but equal. And actually I would not mind this continual argument over states rights vs the national gov't if I remembered you objecting strongly to Bush's run to the Supreme Ct.

Our government does stem from the concept of federalism. Some powers are the responsibility of the state and some of the federal government. Others are shared. I am not as much a support of "all power to the states", as I am a strict constructionist in regards to the constitution. The constitution says that all powers not specifically granted to the federal government are reserved to the states or the people. I didn't object to the supreme court's action because it was a federal constitutional issue. I do not like the grounds for their decision however.

I can understand that you disagree with me on this, but I ask again what is actually incredible about my viewpoint?

ry driving at a .08% level. That combined with night driving and poor weather conditions is the perfect scenario for an accident.

So is driving sleepy even if you don't fall asleap, so it talking on a cell phone in those conditions. So is driving when you are very angry or upset. But normally all these things are much less dangerous then driving with over .1% BAC. I don't have statisitics currently available but the majority of drunk driving accidents are caused by people far over .1%.
