Hi richard surckla; If Rambus IP was used to design SDRAM, why didn't Rambus say so at the time? If they were an honest JEDEC participant they would have noted that "fact" at the time, and set a fair and reasonable royalty. Then JEDEC could have designed it out or agreed to pay. It's not like other design companies don't show up at JEDEC meetings. Mosaid has been there for years. The real story about Rambus has little to do with IP. It has a lot to do with pumping a stock and making insiders wealthy. -- Carl
