I read regularly the G&K thread and was aware of this post. At this point in time and according to the G&K thread philosophy Wi-Lan is out of their their radar screen and range of interest for 2 reasons:

1) Market cap. Their G&K´s companies are over 10$bn of market cap. The ones in the Wait and watch list have lower caps but all are above 1 $bn.
2) In the Technology Adoption Life Cycle W-OFDM has not crossed the chasm and this is a requirement for GG Gamers.

I think it is not the appropriate time to present Wi-Lan to that thread until above condition 2 is satisfied and W-OFDM starts tornadoing. I believe this could happen in Q4/01.

Obviously when, and if, WOFDM starts tornadoing the share price of Wi-Lan will be much higher. But this is how the Gorilla Game is played.

Regarding the line-of-sight issue mentioned in your referred post, I believe that, as we speak, WOFDM is being demonstrated with non-line-of-sight characteristics at the "Broadband Wireless World Forum" in San Francisco. I understand that WOFDM networks, with the same cell size as today´s mobile phones, has non-line-of-sight characteristics. It will be good if we get some summary of Hatim´s comments about this issue yesterday in San Francisco.
