Dave, Arabs and especially Saddam are reactive to matters of pride and ego when it comes to interaction with the US. Saddam will need to "save face" with his fellow Arabs now that all the world knows he was bombed by US planes. The object was to keep Saddam from hitting our planes and not to look like a tough guy all over the world. Now that the Bush administration has chose to make it an ego bash then we will now have to engage him on a broader scale......that is the world stage. My neighbor just got back from Mexico and said the TV down there is saying that the Arabs are calling Bush the "Son of Snake".
