hey knyyt, thanks for the links - those products are mainly for building chart-based systems to generate buy/sell signals - what I'm looking for is references or discussions
on how to build systems that automatically do short-term
(2-3 minutes duration) trades during the day... once a
signal has been generated, how does the computer get in/out
of a position at a target price (assuming a higher-volume
NAS100 stock)... is it common to route such orders to
market-makers and how long might that take, or can such systems stick with using ECNs for execution... how can slippage, or price-chasing, best be contolled ?? Those sorts of questions.

thanks
