Yep, I have broken that same golden rule in the past!
It is extremely difficult not to give in on taking significant profits on averaged down shares, but it does tend to ruin the longer term plan..... The web stocks were a better sector to take profits on averaged down shares, because the odds on ever getting all one's money back were/are much smaller.
