Do you happen to now how much capital BT has been able to raise or has on hand to build out the 3G infra in both location? However, Nortel stated during their warning that 3G revenues were going to slip from 4Q '01 to 1Q '02. In contrast, Nokia seems to be sticking by their guidance that they will begin installing W-CDMA infrastructure during the spring. They have a presentation in which they predict that 100,000 W-CDMA basestations will be produced during '01. I feel fairly confident that networks will be ready to go....the real question is handsets. Just want to be clear....I actually think that BT screwed up during the 3G auctions. They bid on all of the expensive licenses and passed up the cheap ones (Switzerland, Spain and a couple of others). However, I think that even in the case of the expensive auctions that operators will be able to recoup their investments. Slacker
