"stocks are drifting aimlessly" seems to be the marching orders lately (i.e., since about five or six hundred Nasdaq points ago). I don't know if this is just an example of saying something often enough so we begin to believe it, or whether they are talking about the DJII and hope we ignore Nasdaq. CBS Market Watch is quoting a variation on it every two or three days.
