I still am not "right" because I couldn't do just as suggested for my own mother. Yes, I have "put down" a dear family dog while growing up & wa raised to believe it was "the final kindness" but was somehow unable to take the life of one I loved even when in the greatest of pain and at her request. Also one should not suggest it was because it was the "taking of a human life" which prevented me from doing that which was needed. I've taken a human life with my bare hands = but in self defense - not anything near an act I (25 years later) brag about or ever did brag about, just puts things well in perspective.
