I could argue with #1, in that the FOMC put the breaks on the economy, not directly on the market, but I'll give you that.

I might also add 5) Overcapacity - If you remember the bullishness in the first half of 2000, everybody was saying you wouldn't be able to get enough components to build product. When J. Joseph came out and said there was over-capacity and inventory build and the semicycle was ending, everybody thought he was nuts. He was right, of course, the SOB.
