Fred, Michael Alles, the author of the IEEE Spectrum article on which you based your negative view of Ibis's prospects, highly disagrees with your interpretation of his article. (He read your SI postings here.) I spoke with him at some length. He is highly excited and positive about the future of the company technologically and commercially -- he clearly views Ibis as a leader in an expanding niche, and he spelled out his reasons in detail. (He has marketing responsibilities with Ibis in addition to his technical role.) You may be correct in your view of IBIS as a short-play for a short-term trade, but the longer-term outlook is positive from the long side. (I'm long, obviously.)
