Still can't believe AG won't cut rates knowing what happens with consumer confidence when the Nasdaq drops.

Although many are dismissing big cuts by the FED, my feeling is that AG is getting ready to pull the trigger on an intermeeting cut...if he sees things are worse than the soft landing he had projected recently.

All of the evidence suggests it is worse and therefore he needs to shock the market...do more than what those FED fund futures are indicating. If he only does what the futures indicate, it will have no effect at all, IMHO, as many will consider it already factored in.

That is why he needs to shock...True, he has no track record for being pre-emptive (well at least on the cutting side). I believe he realizes that things could get a lot worse if he keeps his steady approach going.

This time, i bet he cuts intermeeting and the odds will be greater if the Naz continues its slide tomorrow. I felt he would react earlier but the market did a rebound back then (forgot which day).

In any case, I believe he would be considered incompetent by the market if he takes a steady approach...something he does not want investors to think (even if we know<g>).
