I enjoyed your posts also-

It only took me 30 seconds to bail when I first read the NT shortfall announcement mainly because I was piped in to this situation that was just reported regarding the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC):
<<Sources say the OSC is probing the timing of Nortel's public disclosure about its financial affairs. Specifically, the OSC is expected to review statements Mr. Roth made last Monday in a conference call with stock analysts during which he predicted the telecommunication giant would meet financial expectations. The following day, Nortel closed its deal with JDS and two days later, the company announced deteriorating financial results.>>

Is there a tooth fairy? I don't think so. This one hurt especially since I was betting big on NT and Mr. Roth. We had a holiday yesterday here in the states, but I kept my ear to the ground on the TSE and Mr. Roth's statements yesterday. It looked like a 10M block of shares hit around 2:00 p.m. after the talk and the stock had a big bounce up. But I was offended by what I perceived to be Mr. Roth's arrogance in his speech and I did not bite. It's a shame that good engineers that are particularly bright act the way they do when they get used to a little bit of corporate power.
