In this medium we tend to over-simplify things. I was careless in my phrasing. When I originally responded to Cosmic about the soldier, I said I didn't know if I could do it, but that I'm sure it would be the moral thing to do. I have a copy of Final Exit, but I don't know if I'll be able to to that either, if need be. The emotions are complicated and the time is stressful.

I think that's more understandable than cavalierly refusing the wishes of someone in pain so that one's own imaginary friend can pick the time of death.
