This is all kind of a moot point anyhoo.. since most M1s are pre-positioned in various depots both in Europe and the Mid-East (Saudi Arabia/Kuwait), being too heavy to rapidly deploy. And the Marines maintain a couple of ships off of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean for the purpose of rapid deployment of an entire Marine Brigade.

But it's nice to know they have the capability to carry that kind of equipment in case of a needed rapid resupply as the US performed for Israel in 1973.
