-- [B] FULL:Sybase to acquire New Era of Networks for $373 mln in stk swap -- By BridgeNews New York--Feb. 21--Sybase Inc. agreed to acquire New Era of Networks Inc., an e-business integration company, for $373 million in a stock-for-stock transaction. Under the agreement, each share of New Era common stock will be converted into 0.3878 shares of Sybase common stock, which represents an implied offer price of $9.50 a share. Sybase expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings in 2002. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the second quarter. --Anil D'Silva, BridgeNews ....
