Gottfried, LOL, I'm so impressed that on this thread where I'm so totally outclassed by the phenomenal computer knowledge of so many, that some of my lowest-of-the-low-tech ideas might be of interest!
Seriously, as to cleaning your screen, you're supposed to use that computer spray stuff (of course, I don't have any here, it's in the office...here at home I use a moist Kleenex [very bad, not lint-free] with minimal pressure, LOL!)
As to the keyboard and the pet hair, I have a a little mini vacuum that you're supposed to use religiously once a week or so to gather up the crumbs and such, but the truth is that someone uses it on my keyboard in the office; well, they used it 2 years ago; but here at home I have never used it...I pull the cat hairs out when I see them, LOL! and I've never had a problem.
But I've also never spilled coffee on any of my laptops...another good reason to keep the lid down if you're inclined to be tipsy with your morning coffee :)
OK, PW, Cheeky, and all, back to those of you who really KNOW something....thanks for indulging my low-tech suggestions, LOL!
