My previous car was an Escort wagon, and I believe it was slightly heavier up front because my first reaction to the Prizm in the snow was that it was not quite as good. That's worth keeping in mind, but I never saw that aspect of the cars quantified in my research... The other reason I asked about driving the Geo is my son is driving a Mazda and he states it is too light for the deeper snow for control. He felt his Chevy Cavelier that he had prior was actually better in the snow.
