Something which is helpful for lawyers involved in SLAPP suits - a list of states with anti-SLAPP suit laws.

I assume, and correct me if I am wrong, that there are two basic type of attacks directed against on-line posters - direct attacks typically couched in the guise of a defamation suit, which may be - probably are? - nothing more than SLAPP suits, and privacy attacks which are collateral to other litigation.

I probably should mention that there are also legitimate suits against on-line posters for pump-and-dump or short-and-defame type activities, so courts sometimes have a hard time deciding what to do. The anti-SLAPP suit laws are good because the defendant can get a stay of discovery until the plaintiff establishes a probability that he or she will prevail with the claim.
