And what's your thoughts of Greenspan? Genius for 15 years, but idiot for the last 1 1/2? When I look at his reign from the beginning to the present day, I have to ask; criminal or just plain stupid? I would go along with ...Greenspan just being plain stupid. He was ready to raise rates even when inflation wasn't there but in cutting, he is only reactive and far too slow. Chambers basically blasted Greenspan in polite words. My guess is he cuts 50bps before the next meeting and then some more at the meeting--to try to make up for some of his stupidity.
