I meant to give an example, but I got off the track last weekend.
From a PR on 10/20/98: "President and Chief Executive Officer Robert R. Crawford, announced an expansion of its Board of Directors and the appointment of James White to the Board of Directors of New York Regional Rail Corporation" (http://www.findarticles.com/m4PRN/1998_Oct_20/53098930/p1/article.jhtml) So Crawford is CEO in October '98 and White joins at that time. I bought my first shares in 12/98 believing Crawford was CEO. Then from a PR on 1/27/99: "Robert R. Crawford announced that he was stepping down as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of New York Regional Rail Corporation" and (Bentley)"is overseeing all administrative and operating systems, in conjunction with Mr. James White, also a Director on the Board. Having been appointed as a Director last October, Mr. White is acting in a liaison capacity, between the company and the other Members of the Board. (http://www.findarticles.com/m4PRN/1999_Jan_27/53655871/p1/article.jhtml) So Crawford is gone, and the PR prominently features White as a player in January '99. But, from a 10SB12G/A for NYRR 1/28/00 at FreeEDGAR: "In November 1998 Mr. Crawford resigned as the Company's President." So Crawford left in November '98, but investors didn't find out until 1/99, and even at that time did not get the real story. And when did White leave? I couldn't find an answer. To make it more interesting, from 8-K for NADA 1/4/00 at FreeEDGAR: "Robert Crawford has been an officer and director of the Company since August 1998." and "James White has been a Director and officer of the Company since 1998." So Crawford and White were running a company in Mississippi, probably prior to White joining NYRR's Board and prior to White assisting Bentley. They must have been extremely busy executives.
The point of all of this is, if any of the new people bail, when will we find out? |
