Colours ... My system came with a CD with video drivers. After installing Windows, I needed to install these drivers so that Windows could take full advantage of the capabilities of my hardware, including richer colour choices. I assume you're familiar with the click stream... Right click a blank area on your screen, select properties, Settings tab, and click Advanced button. Depending on your display hardware, you'll get more choices. Pick likely candidates and choose your settings. Cheers, PW.
