I somehow doubt that any serious traders will be affected by it. After all, we are only talking just over 1 point on the ES and just over 2 points on the NQ.

Perhaps they have too many 'free' users and not enough that are using the trading platform. EDIT: if the number of users that were obtaining free feed drops, perhaps us sneaky futures traders and move markets without them realizing it! (LOL)

Either way, I doubt that it will make a big difference. I think the pits are the real dinosaurs. Certainly I meet fewer individuals these days still trading through the pits than I used to.

Putting on multiple contracts on the ES or NQ is still less costly in commish and slippage than dealing with the pits IMO.
