Gus, JHG...I have no bone to pick with you guys or the company...I love EMC...but I held the stock for 2 years...I've seen Ruettgers get on TV many times to clear up any misconcepts about the company or stock or whatever...he is not doing that right now......after the stock dropping from low 100's- to possibly 40 (or even below) tomorrow....I don't know why he is waiting (if he knows the answers). There is obviously a perception problem here. Big blocks were going off today. He's gone on TV to defend EMC for a lot less in the past..

Perhaps you think its because he believes he's already gotten the word out....I believe its because he really can't say yet (will they lower guidance?)...BTW- If it wasn't clear, I think they'll likely will make their quarter, but it will be close....its the forward guidance that I suspect could change....also, it may not be relevant, Chambers was also using the words "challenging", etc in early Jan....within weeks, he had lowered the expectations yet again..

Until this recent episode, I believe Chambers had as much credibility as Ruettgers....certainly this does not mean Ruettgers will do the same thing (as Chambers)..its just times are tough, even for the best of them...everyone claiming poor visibility, and coming out cautious. Ruettgers is one of the few remaining that has not changed guidance for this year.

Time will tell us soon enough if the stock price drop is totally without cause, or if there is something to it...Continued good luck.
