and squeeze the shorts I always find these comments curious, since it always sounds as if the 'shorts' are something to be despised and punished. Being short or out of the tech market has been the right strategy for a long time; being short or out of the broader market has been right off and on (currently very on) while the big range in the NYSE has been building (now breaking). 'squeeze the shorts' doesn't sound like a respectful way to talk about folks who are well executing their investment or speculation strategies. ;) I will grant you this, with the NDX, SPX near major swing lows; and the NYSE having broken down (and importantly the BKX as well), if AG were to make a rate cut announcement, this would be the place for maximum effect. But even a rate cut induced rally is no guarantee, since here we are, post surprise cuts even, at lower prices.
