tom..."scorched earth policy by houses" the magnitude of the down volume indicates that selling must be coming from the "houses"....so if this conspiracy is in place, are only some "houses" involved, while others are being sucked in much like the retail investor? time to let the conspiracy theories go.....need a reality check....the "houses" have been bringing the market down for a year, if this is common knowledge, then why do many continue to be duped..... look at the tangibles, stock price is affected by perception of future earnings and growth as it relates to the underlying economy.....the "houses" react to this, as should all investors.... to simply state "buy this market" is dangerous, this is no longer a market in which everything will go up in unison....this is a stock pickers market....to buy downward trending issues can be a disaster.... just look to that which you place your faith in, and have been shouting "buy" for the last quarter.....would have been prudent to sit it out until the "houses" were finished... you mean well...but you need to work on your timing.... good luck ed a.
