i place the blame at the feet of the clinton administration, who championed his cause and gave him free reign....he became an icon, because we had no secretary of the treasury.....the fed can only have as much power as the administration allows it to have....many cannot even name heads of the fed prior to greenspan, as they were secondary....who was the fed chairmain during the jerry ford "whip inflation now" campaign???.....it was the administration that directed the fed.....

too much emphasis has being placed on the fed...the role of the administrations power is clear as the fed has changed course since the bush election on tax and rate cuts...
