Short thoughts.

I agree with jim_p that this could be a dicey time to be short tech. A violent rally could occur at any time, especially with traders eyeing the previous bottom in the NASDAQ Comp. - right about where it stands now.

Still liking the downside potential of some financials here, FWIW. Got bounced out of short positions in COF, HI, PVN and JPM a couple of months ago. Any comments on these, or ideas on how and when to position oneself in respect to what may turn out to be the pitifully undercapitalized consumer finance industry? Anyone care to share any TA on these names.

If I had to short one tech stock here, would probably go with CIEN.
