WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of out-of-work Americans climbed slightly last week as 4,000 more filed claims for state jobless benefits than a week earlier, the Labor Department said on Thursday

I read this as a minor figure. Yet yesterday during a conversation about the plight of a couple traders came up. Many individuals left their private practices opting to use the market as a less tiresome method of acquiring funds. Paper profits were well above millions with some and not so now. These individuals i don't think unemployment figures take into account. The period was long enough and optimistic enough that magnitude of debt is huge. Wealth seeding wealth.
As brokerage houses struggle for profits the crops are poor.
