The DIAMOND is not a common pattern, and Im really not an expert on this formation.

One rule of thumb I follow, and something I first noticed with head and shoulders, is that if the movement after the break is not quick and strong, then there is a possibility that the pattern may be negated or not reach the the common target. Now that rule of mine also didnt work with the recent wedge which took a long time to develop. Whether that rules applies to the DIAMOND, I dont know and hope others may add their comments to this topic.
