DeLay’s spokesperson said the sole purpose of the lawsuit is intimidation. “The Democrats clearly chose this language and charges for the pure shock value,” Whip office spokeswoman Emily Miller said. “No one in his or her right mind would read through these outrageous allegations and believe that the Democrats are acting in any way other than pure ugly political venom.”
