Mike, not sure if your talking about Ontario or Brazil. Not a 100% sure on property staked through gov't agencies, but I'm sure it is not more than a couple %. Leased land through a private landholder usually is in place with any contractual agreement signed between the parties. In this instance the companies generally issue shares and a firm committment to spend x amount of money over a set period of time. Whether or not they will grant any % to the landowners after production decisions are made, usually has to be written into the initial contracts well before any work has started. Hope this helps. As for the shorters, unfortunately we are at the companies mercy, as all of us are to poor to do anything about it, there buying network is the only thing that will shake their tree. I just hope they read these posts and do something about it. Because I don't believe it is fair to old shareholders to let the shorters create any negative connotation to where and how close we actually are. Obviously the moves just before news came out by a few select houses was a strategic ploy to show weakness before the news came out. Thereby, creating doubt as to whether or not it is a good time to buy. Which Haywood and the company know it is. I just hope we see a short squeeze very soon. But as a shareholder, I will be making some more calls today to rally a few more buyers, I think we all should as it just means that much higher it goes when they do decide to give us the real story, which I think is coming within the next few weeks.
