Dave,

You're right about Microsoft's trump card(s), I think this drivel about Netscape Navigator vs MSFT IE misses the point altogether. A newspaper reads the same either with ugly black (geek) horn rimmed glasses or contact lens. The web is about servers and publishing, not browsers, since MSFT gives a pretty good one away for free. It's only a matter of time until it's as good or better than Navigator.

The real money for Netscape is made on secure servers, this is MSFT's biggest battleground. I think they'll win the publishing side hands down, for example what word processor does Netscape sell again - NONE! How about a database or spreadsheet to reply to those fancy Java, or cgi requests - NONE! So MSFT's (backoffice) is the data source, now how about the serving side?

I know, FrontPage and NT server something or other. That's the part that's late and not winning market share at the moment.
