I don't remember that argument, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I don't want to speak for others. But I would say that Intel, in microprocessors, means a strong product line, and the low cost producer, with dominant marketshare, through desktops, servers, and notebooks. And growing into (maybe) dominant marketshare in microprocessors for portable devices and (hopefully) communications. It means the leading producer of embedded flash. Intel also means some risky businesses in other areas that may or may not pan out.

As far as a perfect sequence of products, I would say that AMD has managed to screw that up for Intel, by pushing them to do what they can when they can do it.

What does AMD mean?
