I forgot to sell my IBM puts on the drop to 103.

something similar happened to me on a short put I opened on EMC as it fell to 35.... (I could have closed it at a small profit too...) but I was too concentrated watching the NTAP chart and placing orders, I was aware of it, but did not take action, and perhaps I should have.

Against my wishes I am now back to taking profits on a daily basis when I can. this is a trend-less market. Yes, I know it has a strong down-bias, but still the jumps are considerable that I believe it is worth taking profits and keep as much cash as possible...

Besides, too many cross currents here making it difficult to read... (at least from my perspective).

I found these charts:

VXN

mach.quote.com

VIX

mach.quote.com

p.s. SUNW has re-open in after hours trading at around the lows of yesterday after hours (18.5 and clawing its way back to 19.5) They also announced that would start buying back their own shares (1.5 Billion worth)... tomorrow will be indeed interesting.
