John, how can you say Intel is the low cost producer?
Intel's operating income was $2.576 on sales of $8.702 in Q4, or 29.6%
But, according to P.E., their ASP is $180. If they sold 32 million CPU's at AMD's average selling price of $81, then would have had operating income of negative 592 million.

AMD, OTOH, made a tidy $195 on sales of $1,175 in Q4, or 16.6% of sales selling at that low ASP of $81.

Now, if one company can make a profit selling CPU's at $81 and the other can't, which one would you say is the LOW COST PRODUCER?
