techtonic: thanks for your response. I expected some macro statement, and I just read Zander's comments, which essentially confirm what we all know is happening with the economy, and that this IS effecting SUNW business.

I was simply trying to get a sense of the way SUNW execs might communicate the "big picture" economic issues, as I was trading another stock, on the short side, and felt that this type of comment about the general malaise in the sector would be confirmed, It was, and I closed my short after hours, during the conference call with the reaction I expected. I felt Chambers comments earlier this week represented tradable news, for techs in general.
BTW: I am not a SUNW investor, don't have any opinion about it one way or the other.
