I've let my kids have friends of the opposite sex stay over for various reason...too much to drink, weather turned bad, etc., but they always had their own room, or "Sofa City, Sweetheart"! So it's not like I'm advocating throwing her out on a foggy night to drive home by herself, but I'm sure you have more than one bedroom, and I KNOW you have a couch!
