School "choice" is pretty okay with me, actually. I think it will be very interesting to see all the new schools spring up, the new cultures and subcultures empowered, so to speak. So is faith-based welfare, I've decided! The more the merrier! I'm just wondering if it will be fine with you when, shall we say, non-main stream churches get big bucks to dole out to their faithful. Or even main stream ones very very different from your own. I guess you disagree with the Reverend Robertson.
But you mention infanticide. You must have misunderstood. I oppose infanticide.
You mention cruelty, too. You have me confused with someone else. Under no circumstances, none, would I ever support any abortion procedure that would cause pain, any pain, to a fetus.
I put those quotes around "choice" because the choice is so limited. Anyone who can't afford to supplement the voucher and pay tuition to a private school gets no subsidy and thus no choice.
Of course faith based initiatives might combine vouchers with education grants for the needy, so it's possible much larger subsidies might go to the poor, to their faiths, than are currently anticipated.
