Yes the NOK and ERICY Eurofools are delaying 3G--and when it finally arrives it will be about as bracing as a limp handshake--20 to 30K and all. Thus the faithfull companies with the Euro serf mentality are the "true believers", the Euro lemmings following NOK and ERICY to their own destruction. Sure NOK will survive, but operators, innovators and small businesses will hand over the tourch of leadership and the keys to the future to Asians and Americans. Specifically, the rich rewards that come to those developing and using still unknown killer wireless apps will escape them.

Europe will enter a well deserved dark age of socialism. First they missed out on the PC; then they missed out on the internet; now they will miss out on 3G wireless. It's really hard to comprehend how so many people could be so totally wrong about so many things.

Pride commeth first before the fall. Then there is the brain cooker/GPRS issue. This issue alone will defeat GPRS in China, where the CDMA "green phone" is well publicized in Chinese language puplications. Then there is the "spectrum hog" issue. This issue alone is enough to run GSM air interface out of the major cities of China. Then there is the Euro economic imperialism issue. This third issue is also enough to run the GSMers out of China.
