Thanks for your response. If I thought that the Aryan Brotherhood and the Militias were just around the corner, I might agree with you. However, at worst we are talking about a return to social norms and laws that prevailed around 1960, with exceptions (there is no turning back on integration). Some might take that as a regression, but none could argue that it was a time of dictatorial repression. I do not think that we are going to per se move the clock back, anyway. Instead, I would say that we are going to make decisions where it is impossible to do otherwise, and largely get government to pursue more modest goals than social engineering........
