Techie,

I'm a professor of Applied Seismology, which has
very little to do with earthquakes (I live and
work very near the Hayward fault).

When I interviewed at merrill, people were bragging
about the number of all-nighters they pulled in
a month. I dont know if my constitution would have
held up to it.

I got onto to the AMTX thread in my desparate search
for bandwidth (we do alot of graphics intensive computing).
Am glad I did.
