ADSL is the "killer" application. It killed the telecoms boom. "...emerging carriers, such as DSL (digital subscriber line) service providers, have been struggling financially and won't be able to buy as much equipment as in the past..."

We had last year an artificial market created around telecom vendors selling, with vendor financing, to ADSL operators. Once this credit lines banished, the truth came to the surface.

This is how many crisis started. Asia in 1997/1998 and developing countries in the early eighties.
