What a Short, Strange Trip It Has Been
On March 10th of last year, the dot com and tech heavy Nasdaq exchange closed at 5,048. This week, we saw the Nasdaq hit a 2-year low as investors continued to pull away from the tech stocks and many analysts who thought the bottom had already been hit, were recalculating their estimates.
Wall Street has, in less than one year, moved from a speculative bull to a more cautious and prudent animal, paying attention to earnings, revenues and profits...or the rules of good sound business.
The New Economy is learning that the cornerstones of the Old Economy still talk the talk and walk the walk when it comes to investor scrutiny.
Trading volume has been very heavy and for everyone who is bailing out and selling, someone else is snapping it up at bargain prices. Did you ever think you would be able to buy Cisco at $25?
The good news is, although investors have been selling their shares of tech stocks, they have been buying in many other sectors, showing confidence in an economic rebound during the second half of the year.
This week on Emerging Company Report........
Hollywood, CA-Emerging Company Report is the nationally syndicated television program profiling emerging-growth companies (http://www.emergingcompany.com), featuring informative interviews with the CEOs, insights into their operations and outlooks for their futures.

Ed Kelly, CEO of Tasty Fries, Inc. (OTC-BB: TFRY), demonstrated his company’s unique french fry vending machine, which cooks a fresh bucket of french fries in about 1 minute. “The machine can vend up to 500 orders without being refilled or serviced”, said Kelly. “Because we use a dehydrated potato product which makes a new batch of french fries each time, there are no spoilage concerns”. The company recently announced an agreement with Nestle.
