I have my rose-colored glasses on now, but Ampex looks and smells more like a fresh turd. If they need cash, why isn't Bramson getting the ITG to license their "technology"? There seems to be no direction anymore. It wasn't that long ago when they bought MicroNet and since then have managed to not turn it into a profit-making venture, and instead have chosen to write it off. Why the investment in the SanCube concept? Why buy it in the first place? They can't sell high-end devices, can't sell mid-end devices (MicroNet Genesis), and have not made a low-end storage device (why bother?). Same goes for TVW. Now they are an internet media company - what a great time to be involved in getting users to be entertained on the web. The one thing they were good at (data storage) they can not even find a buyer for! And yet they are trying to hire personnel to develop some kind of PC storage device. Huh? Talk about a short-term position - how any design engineer would work for a company with their history is beyond comprehension. Personally, I wonder if Bramson is just throwing darts in making some of these decisions. Next year, they'll decide to shut down AENTV. Ampex increasing their investment with a majority stake seems to be the "kiss of death". Look out, Drew! Here comes the Grim Reaper! Don't let him touch you! Whew, I feel better now...
