Your post reminds me of one of my favorite cartoons of all time: It was just a simple three panel cartoon, a woman sitting down with a gypsy with a crystal ball. She says to the gypsy "My boyfriend doesn't talk to me about his feelings, I want to know what he's thinking about me." Over the gypsy's head is one of those thought bubbles <insert sarcasm>, "Big surprise there" The next panel is the gypsy seeing something in her crystal ball and she says, "Wait! I see something. Early in 2001 men all over the world start talking about their feelings" The woman looks hopeful. The last panel is the gypsy still gazing into the ball and she says, "Women all over the world are instantly sorry"
