<< I Think it is about as low as it will go.>> Well Stevie that was 23 3/16 on Feb 16....Looks like a $19.00 open tomorrow (ouch)....Your predictions have been a bellwether for disaster, starting with your misguided calls on Rambus last summer and SSTI of late....Take a breather....
Hoping for a bounce.

On SUNW, I was asked for an opinion and used the words "I think" and "about" as u quoted above. I don't hold this stock and don't follow it (or anything) too closely these days.
On Rambus, my calls on that started well before last summer and included buying in the 70's and 80's and selling well over 400, all documented on SI if u want to look it up.
On SSTI, I believe this to be a good stock. It hasn't become a long term investment because of its poor performance. If you read the post where I bought heavily just above 20 it says I don't follow the markets much these days (mainly due to a RMBS enhanced lifestyle) and that it was to be a long term investment. I noted that when buying against the advice of your good friend Zeev Hed <g>. Also u can read here on SI that the decision to buy SSTI was based in good part on trust of management, and that if they turned out to be overly optimistic (which they did to some extent) then the stock would suffer. The beauty of buying a stock with a PE in the single digits however has given a lot of protection now that they have downgraded their short term growth forecast to just 40% annually. Still a great buy in my opinion.
While we are on the subject of past record, please remember that you started your stalking of myself and Zeev Hed after we dared to say your beloved VLNC was going down. This was when it was above $30 well over a yr ago. You were ranting about this but when it hit single digits, you suddenly claim to have sold at the top... interesting.
So, what is your opinion of SUNW? Do you hold it, do you follow the company. I was surprised at the recent news. I have questioned the valuation of SUNW before now, but that was based on its stock being highly priced, rather than any probs with the company itself, or it market. Now there are problems with its own figures and negative growth. As others here mentioned, this could just be economic factors, but a good company should still be able to grow in poor conditions, and SUNW execs have publicly stated that was the case. Is it a blip or do Sun really have competition in their "niche"? |
