You are correct. The fundamentals for QCOM are much better as the near the completion of the standards process for 1xEV in a 5 MHZ (UMTS) network. The potential for QCOM to sell products for both 1xEV and WCDMA has just doubled QCOM's potential for growth in the UMTS market. 1xEV may not achieve 100% market penetration like WCDMA in a UMTS network, but they could carve out a large piece of market share. Things are gettig very exciting. I'm anxious to see what the company has to say next week.
